The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the fastest developing hotel firms worldwide and a member of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, has announced their latest addition, the Radisson Blu Sheremetyevo Airport Hotel, Moscow. The hotel features 379 rooms and is planned to open in the second quarter of 2014. It will be Rezidor’s 2nd hotel at Sheremetyevo. The group already operates a mid-market Park Inn hotel at the Sheremetyevo airport.
The new First Class hotel is held by Norwegian company Wenaasgruppen In Russia alone, Wenaasgruppen is the owner of 9 hotels with a total of 4,000 rooms operated by Rezidor.

It also confirms our commitment to the Russian market where we are the leading international hotel operator” said Wolfgang M. Neumann, President & CEO of Rezidor. The group has 45 hotels with 11,600 rooms in Russia the CIS & Baltics, and further 29 hotels with a total of 6,700 rooms under development. In and around Russia’s Capital City Moscow Rezidor’s portfolio consists of 6 properties with more than 1,700 rooms.
The Radisson Blu Sheremetyevo Airport Hotel will be the only hotel featuring a direct walkway link to the international terminals. Apart from 379 rooms with Radisson Blu signature services such as free high speed internet access, the property will provide 2 restaurants and 2 bars including a 600m² bar on the 11th floor with a breathtaking view over the airport terminal. Supplemental services will include more than 43 meeting rooms which includes a 200m² multifunctional hall, a crew lounge, gym and sauna.
The recently refurbished Sheremetyevo Airport is the principle hub of Russia’s national carrier Aeroflot delivering the perfect transit point for international, regional and domestic travellers. The new AeroExpress train connects the terminals and downtown Moscow in just 35 minutes. Sheremetyevo serves more than 22 million passengers annually, and is set to increase further as it now has the biggest volume of any airport in Moscow or Russia.
